Recently, the fantasy romantic web series Daydream Confession was shot in Zhongshan. The series is an adaptation of Zhang Haochen's popular same-name novel, which tells the story of ordinary girl Dandan (played by the rising star Xuan Lu) who accidentally discovers a gateway to the daydream world and experiences the perfect life of Bai Zhi in her imagination.

"We have selected dozens of locations in Zhongshan, such as Zhongshan Polytechnic and Qijiang River Park, because of the city's features and temperament as well as the unique cultural atmosphere that align well with the story," said chief producer Dong Xiaoran. She hopes to have more opportunities to film in Zhongshan in the future.
