The Zhongshan Session of the 2022 South China Book Festival and the 14th Zhongshan Book Fair kicked off at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Library on the morning of August 19.

This year's Zhongshan Book Fair, which will last from August 19 to 28, aims to enable readers swim in the ocean of knowledge with the utilization of cloud technologies and online platforms through live streaming activities.

After the opening ceremony, a lecture with the theme of brief history of Zhongshan was given by professor Hu Bo, also a PhD in history and full-time Standing Committee member of the CPPCC Zhongshan Municipal Committee.

The Zhongshan Book Fair Expert Lectures will be held starting the past weekend. On August 20, Ye Zhenghua, doctoral graduate of Tsinghua University, full-time vice chairman of the Guangdong Artists Association, member and vice chairman (temporary) of the Leading Party Group of Zhongshan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, gave a special lecture on aesthetic education for the public.
