??Zhongshan was awarded “National Top 10 Eco-civilized City” at the National Ecological Civilization Development Forum held recently, according to Zhongshan Environmental Protection Bureau. It is the third consecutive year Zhongshan wins the honor.
??Reportedly, Zhongshan has achieved significant results in ecological civilization. In terms of atmospheric controlling, for example, Zhongshan’s air quality has seen obvious improvement and ranked top10 nationwide for many times with a series of regulation measures including setting “Pollution Fuel Restricted Zone”, removing “yellow label cars”, and carrying forward VOCs treatment.
??So far, Zhongshan has established 18 national ecological towns, 15 provincial ecological towns, 247 municipal ecological model villages, 12 “Guangdong Livable Demonstration Towns”, 38 “Guangdong Livable Demonstration Villages” and 64 “Guangdong Livable Demonstration Communities”. Zhongshan has also achieved full coverage of “beautiful villages”.
