Democratic parties’ representatives and personages without party affiliation attend 2013 Summer Forum.

2013 Summer Forum of Democratic Parties and Personages without Party Affiliation was held yesterday. Party Secretary Xue Xiaofeng requests the attendees break stereotyped thoughts and encourages any idea on problems in the development of Zhongshan, esp. on how to build a strategic platform, how to accelerate transformation and upgrading, how to improve and safeguard the stable and harmonious situation.

Sutu Weizhan, Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang Zhongshan Committee, talks of the responsibilities of the pioneers from many aspects concerning the strategy of building Cuiheng New District. Ma Zhigang, Chairman of Chinese Democratic League Zhongshan Committee, proposes to build the industrial federations of Zhongshan Clothes and Zhongshan Food following the model of Zhongshan House Decoration. Wu Jianxin, Chairman of China Democratic National Construction Association Zhongshan Committee, makes an in-depth analysis of the bottleneck in talents introduction and proposes some suggestions. Zhou Xin, Chairman of China Association for Promoting Democracy Zhongshan Committee, advocates urban transformation and upgrading instead of economic transformation and upgrading, and far-reaching consideration in handling the difficulties at hand. Mai Jianzhang, Chairman of Chinese Peasants and Workers Democratic Party Zhongshan Committee, emphasizes the ecological and livelihood problems of pollution control in Western River, and suggests some measures. Wu Zhuke, Chairman of China Zhi Gong Dang Zhongshan Committee, remains clear-headed towards the haze of building platforms, and stresses that Cuiheng New District should be built into a multi-functional comprehensive platform. Wu Yuexia, Chairman of Jiu San Society Zhongshan Committee, thinks the construction of Cuiheng New District should begin from cultural guidance and then achieving civilization consequently. Lin Shaotang, a person without party affiliation, suggests building at least four mechanisms to help with the complaint handling and peace maintaining.

Xue gives feedback to each opinion and says the Summer Forum is an important channel of collecting wisdom and good ideas from non-Communist people. He expects the democratic parties and the personages without party affiliation continue to support the work of Zhongshan Municipal People’s Government and Party Committee, and promote sustainable and healthy economic and social development in Zhongshan.
