The 2024 Zhongshan Torch Development Zone New Year Concert, also a special Cantonese music concert for Lyu Wencheng, was held on the evening of January 8.

Lyu Wencheng, originally from Dahuan Community in Torch Development Zone, was an exceptional performer and composer of Cantonese music, and a remarkable singer and innovator of Guangdong opera. Many of his music works have won universal praise.

Classic music pieces created by Lyu, such as Autumn Moon over Calm Lake, Playing the Chinese Gu-qin on a Rock and Rising Higher Step by Step were performed at the concert.
