The "Drunken Dragon Dance" was aired on Phoenix TV's "Great Era" program from July 3 to 4. The video introduced the drunken dragon dance, usually performed on the eighth day of the fourth lunar month every year in Zhongshan's Changzhou Community, which builds strong friendship between local residents and fellow townsmen in Hong Kong, Macao, and overseas areas.

Every year on the eight day of the fourth lunar month, people in Changzhou Community will gather together, joined by fellow townsmen that have moved to Hong Kong, Macao and even overseas areas.

Local drunken dragon dance teams will gather and perform in front of the Huang's Ancestral Hall. Some of them are also frequently invited to perform in Hong Kong.

The Drunken dragon dance, which originated in the Song Dynasty and flourished in Ming and Qing Dynasties, has a history of more than 700 years. It is a unique folk-art form in Zhongshan.

In June 2008, the Zhongshan Drunken Dragon Dance and the Festival of Drunken Dragon of Macao were inscribed on the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List by the State Council.
